An Abyssinian Walking the Bible: Palestine - Israel - Egypt - Jordan - Ethiopia (Part four)

Ethiopia 🇪🇹

In my 30s, as part of my inner engineering process, I travelled around Ethiopia, to historical places in the north, & the richness in nature & beauty of the south that I can venture to in the south, the wonders of the East, and the adventure awaiting me in the west. My parents & family felt like they were getting older alone, the country side was desperately poor, & my friends felt stuck in their lives most of them newly in a marriage, while the continent felt like it needed to move from AidtoTrade. I felt the vibrancy, aliveness & potential of Ethiopia and the African continent, if not now when!

Moments of bliss overwhelms my core, as I take my senses to realign their radar to transcend through new destination, overwhelming my imagination to go beyond its impulses, forcing my mind to stay still, and allow my intuition to guide my being & strengthen its position as a solo woman traveling Ethiopia & globally.

As an avid traveler, addicted to the unknown, adventure, challenge, relaxation and at times inner quest. I tend to ponder on basic questions that can ease the itch to transform the feeling to contempt, not satisfaction. Furthermore the research, anticipation, journey, discovery and not just the destination fuels my passion and refuels my hunger to travel more.

Traveling around Ethiopia, as a solowoman traveller, an abyssinian spirit, & to discover the strength, weakness, my opportunities & threats  within was overwhelming at times.

- Heading west to discover Ethiopia's uniqueness,
- North to experience the cradle of mankind,
- South to cross paths with rich human diversity or,
- East where nature gracefully co-habits with man.

As most people found my quest to travel throughout Ethiopia puzzling, I chose to be open & adventurous. Asking myself, How far did I want to travel? What risks am I willing to take? How intense and thrill seeking do I want the adventure to be? Who was I willing to share my travel time with? Is it a spiritual, physical, emotional or explorative quest? Am I strict on my financial budget, or do I feel like splurging? What mode of transportation am I willing to take i.e. private, public, sharing, as the infrastructure was not easily accessible to venture around Ethiopia for solo woman travellers.
